Bainbridge High School Fees

All Band Members

$25 - for uniform dry cleaning.

Many Band Members

$75 - to use a school instrument for the year.

Marching Band Members

$250 - participation fee.

Anyone can ask for a scholarship from BHS.

Time Committments

"Regular" Band

Minimum committments for students in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band.

Class time
Four evening concerts with two morning dress rehearsals each.
Two winter basketball games.
BHS Graduation (with a dress rehearsal that midday)

Percussion Ensemble

In addition to the requirements on the left:

Two fall football games
Regional Solo & Ensemble competition
State Solo & Ensemble competition (if the ensemble earns an invitation)

Marching Band

An optional fall sport / activity

Twelve day August band camp. This seems like a lot to new members, but it's actually relentlessly fast paced and incredibly rewarding. We learn about 2/3rds of our fall materials during this time!
Two to three after school practices a week in September and October.
Four home football games.
Three Saturday away competitions.

Jazz Band

An optional zero period class

"Regular" Band Parents

Volunteer and donate when needed and able.
Attend performances and share your favorite moments with your child.

Percussion Parents

Volunteer and donate when needed and able.
Attend performances and share your favorite moments with your child.

Attend informational meeting during band camp.
Volunteer at at least one competition.
Volunteer at at least one football game.
