Course Description

The Bainbridge High School Wind Ensemble is one of Kitsap County’s premier student performing groups. Students in this ensemble graduate with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in collegiate music programs. Placement into Wind Ensemble is by audition and instructor permission only. Students in Wind Ensemble put on concerts, play at assemblies, compete in festivals, and much more. It is common to participate in band and also do other sports and clubs at BHS. All required events are clearly outlined at the start of the year. Attendance at all required dress rehearsals and concerts will be graded. Participation in the award winning Spartan Marching Band, Bainbridge Jazz Collective, and The Big Spring Trip are optional programs available to all band members.  Strings players should contact the band director for placement into the appropraite wind class.  Percussionists should register for Percussion Ensemble.

• Scholarships: BHS has standard mechanisms in place to confidentially waive fees for qualifying students.  Please reach out the the office at BHS for more information.
