The band is going to Disneyland & LA!
Roughly May 28 - June 1st, 2027 (Dates pending flights and other confirmations).
This year, BISD is managing the spring trip, in partnership with the Band Boosters and Educational Discovery Tours. The trip will mostly look the same as it has in the past, with some important changes behind the scenes. More details below:
DEADLINES
October 28th - Scholarship Application Deadline
November 2nd - Registration Deadline
Optional trip insurance is due within 14 days of registration
AMOUNTS
$200 - Non-refundable deposit
$2,008 - Remaining student tuition (wll be split into two payments later this winter / spring)
$300-400 - High end estimate for a booster partner payment covering equipment transportation and mandated scholarship funds.

Registration
Register your student online with our travel company, Educational Discovery Tours by visiting our trip registration page. This link is also provided on the registration flyer. Please submit all trip payments to BISD.

Chaperones
Potential chaperones need to reach out to Mr Thomas so the role of chaperone is coordinated across the whole trip / program. He will provide the district with a final list of chaperones.
All chaperones need to complete a BISD training / attestation which will ensure that all the adults start the trip on the same page regarding trip expectations and our processes for keeping students safe during the trip. All chaperones will be required to complete a fingerprint background check.
Chaperones have to pay their way. Chaperone deposits are also non-refundable. There might be a chaperone application process, if interest requires it.
Trip Insurance: Due to software and other limitations, we are unable to integrate trip insurance options into the existing platforms linked elsewhere on this registration page. InsureMyTrip.com is an insurance company that Educational Discovery Tours has been working with for years, and they recommend that we use this service to insure against any unforseen reasons you might need to back out of the trip after the refund deadlines. Please visit their page, read, and consider the options carefully. On some past trips, insurance has been required.
Payments to BHS
Families will pay through the BISD Online Payment Site. Find the BAND Tab.
Deposit: Non-refundable deposits are $200.
Automatic Scholarships: Families who qualify for free or reduced meals and have submitted the 2026-27 Release of Information form in Skyward, will automatically be awarded a scholarship to participate.
Applied Scholarships: There are additional scholarship dollars available for families experiencing financial hardships, who don't qualify for Free or Reduced Meals. Those families should use this Scholarship Application Page.
Other Funds: All funding for trip scholarships and uniform and equipment transportation is happening through our Band Boosters Association. Please see below for information about how we will be raising these funds.
Additional Costs & Information
BOOSTERS | The Band Boosters will work with families and community partners to fund need-based trip scholarships and the cost of transporting band uniforms and equipment to and from Disneyland. Once the trip roster is set, the Boosters will share how families can help raise these funds.
