Chris Thomas, director

Mr Thomas has been heading the bands at Bainbridge High School since the 2012-2013 school year. Since his arrival, the program has won four "A" Division Championships and one silver medal. Since outgrowing the "A" Division in 2017, the band has climbed it's way up the ranks of the "AA" division. Inspired by the exciting venture, Mr Thomas loves what performance, leadership, and culture building opportunities marching band lends to each student, each year.

Originally from the Bellingham area, Chris has earned degrees from Shoreline Community College, Central Washington University, and The University of Montana, where he worked as a graduate teaching assistant in all areas of the university's band department. Mr Thomas lives on Bainbridge Island with his brilliant wife, Lauren, and their incessantly charming cat, Boomer.
