Junior Parade Camp

Discover the fun of Marching Band & Color Guard at Junior Parade Camp!

This camp is for both beginners and returning 7th, 8th and 9th graders in winds and percussion with two years in band, or beginner dancers who love performing and want to learn about color guard.

Camp classes are taught by coaches and students of the award-winning Bainbridge High School Marching Band & Color Guard who have won numerous awards and who marched in the Disneyland Parade in May 2023.

This program is designed to give students a kick-start in their high school marching band or color guard experience and give students the opportunity to work collaboratively to learn pep songs, marching drills, and music skills needed for marching performances. 

Music rehearsals build on techniques and conditioning used by the BHS Marching Band. Color Guard students learn how to twirl and spin flags that add color and flair, and all students learn marching fundamentals outdoors for their appearance in the Bainbridge Island Grand Old 4th of July Parade.

Souvenirs: Campers receive a t-shirt, photos of the week’s experience and a featured spot in the best hometown parade in the Pacific Northwest!

Camp dates: July 1 - 4, 2024, 9 am - 3 pm.
